    Addressbook updated, guide updated

    October 18th, 2011

Today the addressbook was updated (as part of it being done by KK instead of TECH) by our very own Lisbeth (from KK)!
Further more the guide for usage of the Internet at the Dorms was updated (the committee section was severely outdated).

    Addressbook updated!

    July 26th, 2011

    http://addressbook.k64.dk/ has been updated!
All new tenants should now be in there, so you can find out where your friends live and call them on the internal phone.
But don’t fret. The page is only accessible from the dormitories’ network (or externally if you have registered yourself).
    :-)

    We are working…

    July 12th, 2011

We are working on the network the next couple of days, this could result in minor downtime periods.

DAK, HUK and PARK will experience these interrupts in service, since we are changing the way their fibers are connected.

Steps are also being taken to prevent a breakdown like the one we had during the  power outage.

    Scheduled power interruptions

    May 25th, 2011

There’s a scheduled power interruption the 14th of june UK, SK and HK between 8 – 16.00, for at least two hours. During this time the Internet will be unavailable (as well as any services).
On the 15th it’s PK, BMA, HUK and DAK’s turn.

    Woops..

    March 29th, 2011

Did a tiny update to the site and all of a sudden, the rules and regulations pamphlet (AKA the network guide) was unavailable.
    Fixed it.. :-)
    Find it here.

    Harddisk dead in SAN

    March 2nd, 2011

We’ve currently one harddisk dead in our SAN, which may (but shouldn’t) result in various instabilities on the services of the network (DHCP, DNS etc.), but not the network itself.

TECH has already begun fixing the problem – we’re awaiting delivery. :-)

    Known issue: IP Conflict

    March 2nd, 2011

We see a lot of people getting IP conflicts these days.

This, however, appears only to affect WinVista (and above) as well as some Mac OS X clients. Systems running linux or other software seem unaffected by the problem.

From time to time it appears that turning off IPv6 (as according to the guide) solves this problem.

We are continually investigating, and apologize for the inconvenience.

    Network maintenance this weekend!

    February 15th, 2011

This weekend, the 18th to the 20th will have network maintenance.

We’re sorry for an inconvenience this may cause.

Furthermore, there was a slight downtime today (around 22:30 till 23:30) due to a faulty harddisk array.
